A portrait of Sister Mary Minehan, an inspirational Brigidine nun, whose story leads her to Kildare, ancestral home of the mysterious Brigid -- the name referring to both St. Brigid, one of Ireland's most revered saints, and the goddess Brigid, who was worshiped in the era prior to Ireland's Christian conversion. The journey ends at Feile Bride, the Festival of Brigid, held every year in Kildare to celebrate Brigid and to promote peace, justice and reconcilitation, on the Eve of St. Brigid. Women's hands gather around a midnight bonfire as they call out their prayers for peace, protection of the earth, and Brigid's healing powers.
